LUCKNOW: Eleven, including four girls, were caught during the semester examinations of APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) from a college in Agra on Monday. The accused - seven boys and four girls - were nabbed at Raja Balwant Singh Engineering Technical Campus, an affiliated college of AKTU, for writing exams in place of bona fide students of the institution.
AKTU officials said they would lodge an FIR against the impersonators. According to college director Akhand Pratap Singh, the students confessed they were promised Rs 10,000 as scholarship by an outsider.
They were told they would not have to attend classes and appear for the examinations in order to get the scholarship.
