10 held for gambling

LUCKNOW: Gomtinagar police arrested 10 gamblers while investigating a case of kidnapping late Monday night. Those arrested were identified as Prakash Singh, Nirmal Upadhaya, Jeet Rai, Pervez, Bharat Kumar, Ritesh Kumar, Shrawan Rawat, Sanjay Mishra, Suraj Kumar and Damodar.
Around 9pm, a person who identified himself as Abhishek informed on dial 100 about a kidnap from a house in Gomtinagar.When police reached the house they were denied entry by private guards posted outside. Police inspector Manoj Mishra said, “We raided the house and found 10 persons in the 25-30 years age group, all drugged and indulging in gambling.
