Woman travelled mostly on bike and car, says route map
Kozhikode: The health department has released the route map of the 42-year-old woman from Valanchery municipality in Malappuram who had tested positive for Nipah.The places she had visited include a clinic near BK Medical Store at Valanchery, Valanchery block family health centre, two medical laboratories and EMS Hospital at Perinthalmanna where she was admitted at 7.30pm on May 1.According to the route map, the woman had stayed at her house on April 25 even though she had fever and on April 26 she went with her husband on a motorcycle to Dr Vineetha Clinic near B K Medical Store at 7.30pm and returned home in a car after spending one hour at the clinic.On April 27, she remained in the house and on April 28 she visited the Valanchery block family health centre from 10.30am and was under observation till 3.30pm and returned home in a two-wheeler. On April 29, she visited Sudharma Lab at 8.25am and returned home and later visited the Dr Vineetha Clinic from 7.30pm to 8.30pm and returned home. On April 30, she went to Brothers Lab for tests at 8pm to 8.30pm.On May 1, she again visited the Brothers Lab at 7.50am and returned home and later visited Dr Vineetha Clinic at 7.30pm to 8.30pm from where she went to the EMS Hospital, Perintalmanna, at 10pm and was shifted to Room 5A at 11pm.As per the route map, most of the travel of the woman was on two-wheeler and car and it does not mention about any use of public transport. The health department has asked people who were present at the locations during the specified times to contact the control cell (0483 2736320, 0483 2736376).
