Will explore all legal options in Ayodhya case, says PFI
Kozhikode: The Popular Front of India (PFI) has said that Saturday’s Supreme Court order on Ayodhya land dispute case went beyond even the prayers of the litigants in the original title suit.
Addressing a news conference here on Sunday, PFI national vice-chairman O M A Salam said, “The majoritarian interests were given priority over principles of justice.”
“Peace will prevail only if justice is done. It was not the Muslims who withdrew from the compromise talks, but the other side,” said PFI national executive member E M Aburehman.
The PFI leaders said the verdict is against freedom of religious practices granted to minorities as a fundamental right.
PFI leaders said the organization would explore all legal and democratic avenues to get justice, adding that it would extend all support to the Sunni Waqf Board in the continuing legal fight. tnn
