(IISR), Peruvannamuzhi here on Friday organised training programme on Spices crops production and management for the farmers of
Chellanur and Kakkodi grama panchayats
in the district.
The training programme was organised to impart information on how to increase productivity by planting of improved varieties and their prompt field management in the wake of threat of area reduction under Spice crops. Rajeni Muralidharan, Agriculture Officer, Chellanur Krishi Bhavan coordinated the
non-residential training
with the funding support of Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) organised by KVK, IISR, Peruvannamuzhi.

, programme coordinator said that classes on spices crop varieties, tree spices management, Bush pepper production, pest and disease management of spices and processing of spices into value added products were held during the training session.
Dr P S. Manoj, Dr K K Aiswarya, and Mr. Dennis KVK were impatre dclasses and demonstration sessions during the training programme. Forty five farmers from Chellanur and Kakkodi Panchayat of Kozhikode district were attended the training session.
