Traffic ban to be imposed at S M Street from January 3 onwards

KOZHIKODE: Traffic Regulatory Committee meeting chaired by

Mayor Thottathil Raveendran

at his chamber here on Friday decided to impose traffic ban from 10 am to 10 pm on the

renovated S M Street

from January 3 onwards.

At present, district administration had imposed traffic ban on the S M Street till January 2 due to

Christmas and New Year celebrations

. The meeting also decided to allow only light vehicles during 10 pm to 10 am. The meeting also decided to ban the entry of heavy vehicles on the renovated stretch to avoid damage of cobbled stones paved on the surface of the street.

The meeting also decided to remove existing one way on Court road and MP road stretches.
