Thaha has been serving as the state executive committee member of the BJP’s Minority Morcha.

Thaha told media on Monday that despite the CAA causing widespread anxiety and concerns among minorities, the central government has not done anything to allay the fears.

“Muslim community in the country is having serious concerns about the Act. But the central government is not even convening an all-party meeting. I decided to leave the party as the government is not ready to address the concerns of the community,” he told media persons. tnn
