Police seize swords, knives, iron rods near BJP Kannur office
KANNUR: Police on Tuesday seized swords, knives and iron rods near the BJP district committee office here.
The weapons were found by corporation workers from a compound near the BJP office. Police said a case has been registered.
BJP district President P Satyaprakash termed the seizure a "drama" by the police.
Some pockets in Kannur had witnessed violence in the past, with ruling CPI(M) alleging that BJP/RSS workers were attacking its activists.
