Police case against MYL leader Firos

: Police have registered a case against

on a complaint filed by CPM MLA James Mathew, alleging that he had forged documents and presented it as a letter from the MLA.

The police have registered the case against Firos under sections IPC 465 (forgery) 669 (forgery for defamation), 471 (using forged documents as real documents) among other sections.

Firos, who had raised allegations of irregularities in the appointment of deputy director (technical) at Information Kerala Mission (IKM), has said that Mathew too had written to local self-government minister raising complaints over the appointment.

The MYL leader had recently raised serious allegations of nepotism against law minister A K Balan as well regarding appointments in Kirtads.
