MLA’s reply not proper, says Kunhikrishnan
Kozhikode: Expelled CPM leader V Kunhikrishnan said Payannur MLA T I Madhusoodanan's response that Communists could not even contemplate misusing a martyr fund did not amount to a proper reply to his allegations of misappropriation of funds.Kunhikrishnan told reporters on Tuesday that while many believe Communists would never think of misusing such a fund, scrutiny had revealed instances of manipulation and irregularities. "I raised this within the party unit, and shouldn't I receive an answer to that? There is no point in trying to justify it by quoting Lord Krishna or explaining event from the Puranas," he said.

He also rejected Madhusoodanan's contention that disclosing details of the amount collected for the Dhanaraj martyr fund would insult the family or affect the ongoing trial. The case, he said, was proceeding in court with witnesses, and its outcome would depend solely on the judicial process, not on the current row.Asked about the stand if Madhusoodanan is fielded by the CPM as candidate in Payyannur, Kunhikrishnan said that the party has not taken a stand yet on who the candidate will be."I don't want to give an answer based on imagination. We will take a stand according to the situation as it arises," Kunhikrishnan said. TNN
