Man killed in bid to avoid wild boar hit
Kannur: A 52-year-old fish vendor died after a wild boar ran across the road, causing the autorickshaw he was driving to overturn at Kadirur in Kannur early on Monday. The deceased has been identified as N Pradeepan of Naravoor near Kuthuparamba. He was returning from Thalassery market after purchasing fish for sale.According to police, the mishap happened when the wild boar accidentally crossed the road, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The autorickshaw overturned and Pradeepan suffered serious injuries. Locals rushed the man to a nearby hospital, but his life could not be saved. The police registered a case and his body was shifted to the Thalassery general hospital mortuary for postmortem examination.
