Kozhikode civic body issues notices to six hotels

KOZHIKODE: Kozhikode Corporation on Wednesday served notices to six hotels for polluting the Conolly canal by draining waste water illegally.
The notice was issued to hotel Sagar , Indian Coffee house, Major hotel Jafarkhan colony, Alakapuri hotel M M Ali road, Sastha Puri hotel and hotel Disney land. The notice was issued on the basis of inspection conducted by health inspectors E Babu and T Chandran
Dr R S Gopakumar, corporation health officer said that the civic body will give a month of time to rectify the detected anomalies.
