Judicial First Class Magistrate II rejected the
bail plea
of all the accused in the Koodathayi multiple
murder case, on Saturday. The court considered the bail plea of
Jolly Joseph, the prime accused in the case along with the bail pleas of
M S Mathew
and
P Prajikumar
.
The court rejected the bail plea as the police have started probe into five more suspected murders and the involvement of the accused is suspected in more cases.
The prosecution objected to the bail application citing that it would affect the probe into the murder cases.
The court remanded all the three accused in judicial custody for 14 days. The accused were produced before the court as their remand period end on Saturday. The accused will continue in judicial custody till November 2.
The police team probing the murder of Sili, first wife of Shaju Skaria, is planning to move the court on Monday seeking the custody of Jolly Joseph. Jolly, who is the second wife of Shaju, was arrested by the police team probing the murder of Sili on Friday.
