Kerala police to introduce KAIZEN

KOZHIKODE: The

Kerala Police

is planning to implement

KAIZEN

project, an initiative by the

Kozhikode

City Police, for improving the physical condition as well as work quality of the police stations and other police offices across the state.



The state police chief has issued a directive in this regard to all district police chiefs.

The KAIZEN project means small and continuous improvement was implemented by the Kozhikode city police as a fundamental routine work. The project was introduced by Kozhikode police chief, Kori Sanjaykumar Gurudin to improve physical

infrastructure

, documentation, behaviour and policing works in the city limit.

According to an order issued by the chief, the implementation of KAIZEN project should be completed before July 1. "Further, if any

police station

is found shabby, the district police chiefs shall be responsible along with range inspector general of police," the directive reads.

The state police chief decided to introduce KAIZEN project to all police districts as the project was found effective and impressive.

The overall monitoring of the project will be carried out by the additional director general of police head quarter.

According to Sanjaykumar Gurudin, who introduced the project, ‘KAIZEN’ was not only about the tidiness of the offices. KAIZEN also aimed at improving investigation, timely disposal of cases, detection of narcotic and other offences.

The project was really successful in Kozhikode, said Sanjaykumar Guridin. Every police officer and personnel in the city limit involved in the project were responsible to bring out drastic change, the official added.
