Kerala: One more person cured of Covid-19 in Malappuram

One more person was cured of Covid-19 in the district on Sunday.According to the district medical administration, a 42-year-old man who is native of Kalpakanchery has been tested negative for novel coronavirus infection and would be discharged soon. He is now under observation at Government Medical College Hospital, Manjeri.

MALAPPURAM: One more person was cured of Covid-19 in the district on Sunday.
According to the district medical administration, a 42-year-old man who is native of Kalpakanchery has been tested negative for novel coronavirus infection and would be discharged soon. He is now under observation at Government Medical College Hospital, Manjeri.
A total of 19 persons had been tested positive for novel coronavirus infection in Malappuram.

among these 13 persons were cured of infection, including an 85-year-old man who died due to age related ailments on Saturday. 6 persons are still under treatment at isolation ward of the hospital.
District medical officer K Sakkeena said that the health condition of those who are under treatment is satisfactory. She has informed that 42 more persons in the district have been tested negative for novel coronavirus infection on Sunday.
Meanwhile, 90 more people were brought under observation in the district on Sunday. Currently 5,727 people are under observation in the district. 23 persons are under observation in various hospitals including government medical college, Manjeri, which is Covid special treatment centre. 86 persons are under observation in Covid care centres, while 5,616 persons are under observation at their homes.
Meanwhile, the health authorities have arranged more Covid care centres across Malappuram as to provide isolation facilities for those who are going to return from virus affected areas. 15 establishments across the district have been taken over to set up Covid care Centres. Those who return from virus affected areas would be directly shifted to Covid Care Centres. 94 grama panchayats and 12 municipalities have already identified the buildings for setting up more covid care centres.
Police have registered 66 cases on Sunday for violating lockdown rules. According to district police a total of 109 persons have been arrested in connection with these cases registered at different police stations. 51 vehicles also were seized in connection with the incident.
