KOZHIKODE: Governor AM Khan said that incidents like the train arson case in Kozhikode raise serious questions and highlight the need to be more prepared to meet such threats and augment security infrastructure.
"Whether it is a lone wolf attack or if it is part of any conspiracy, it raises serious questions. If it is part of some conspiracy, a terror act then we will have to be more prepared to meet such kinds of threats.
Even if it is the work of a lone individual, a lunatic act, even then we will need to strengthen our security infrastructure," Khan told the media on Monday.
He said that the best-possible technology and most modern methods should be adopted to prevent such attacks. "Our heart goes out to the families of those who lost their lives. We can give them sympathy, but the real tribute will be when we succeed in strengthening our infrastructure so that these kinds of things are not allowed to be repeated," he said.
When asked about the visit by PM Narendra Modi to the Sacred Heart Cathedral Church in Delhi on Easter day, Khan said that having a head of state who respects the faith of any individual citizen is the Indian way of doing things. tnn
