KOZHIKODE: The Indian Medical Association, Kozhikode chapter, staged dharna in front of Kozhikode collectorate on Monday against the decision of the central government to introduce bachelor of rural health care programme. The protesters said the move would deteriorate the standards of medical care.
The government has come forward with the decision when the academics from developed countries have come up with the opinion that even the present duration of five and-a-half years is not sufficient for excelling in the field of modern medicine, the protestors said.
