IMA presents best doctor awards

KOZHIKODE: Kozhikode branch of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) presented best doctor awards to former professor and head of the department of Gynaecology Dr P K Shekaran; Dr Leila Mohan, chief medical officer and chief consultant, anterior segment of Comtrust Eye hospital and former president of IMA Kozhikode branch and anaesthesia consultant Dr M G Vijayakumar at a function held at the IMA hall the other day.
The award instituted by the Kozhikode branch of Indian Medical Association (IMA) to mark the observance of doctor’s day aims at recognising the medical fraternity for their outstanding contributions to their respective fields. IMA also presented the Dr K M Lakshmiamma memorial IMA Gold medal instituted for the outstanding PG student in Genecology category to Dr H Anusha of Kozhikode medical college.
