Elderly woman attacked by drunk son dies

Kannur: An 88-year-old woman, who was under treatment after suffering serious injuries in an attack by her son, died on Tuesday. The deceased was V Santha, of Palliyamoola, Kannur. The police had arrested her son, Sajeevan, 58, of Palliyamoola.Following a dispute with his mother, Sajeevan threw her, along with the chair she was sitting in, under the influence of alcohol around 11pm on Wednesday. The seriously injured woman was taken to a private hospital by locals.
