C K Menon bags P V Sami memorial award

KOZHIKODE: Prominent NRI businessman C K Menon has been selected for this year’s P V Sami memorial industrial and socio-cultural award.
Menon is the chairman and managing director of the Qatar-based Behzad Group of Companies. P V Gangadharan, trustee of the P V Sami memorial trust, said chief minister Oommen Chandy will present the award on Saturday at a function to be held at the Tagore Hall. Union minister for overseas Indian affairs Vayalar Ravi will preside over the function.
The winner was selected by a jury headed by the chairman and managing director of Mathrubhumi M P Veerendrakumar, C K Ramachandran and film director Sathyan Anthikkad.
Tourism minister A P Anil Kumar will inaugurate the P V Sami memorial meeting.
