All roads led to Gold, JW Marriott, when famous Israeli DJ, Vini, of the Vini-Vici duo, played at the nightclub that saw over 600 revellers in attendance. It was a Friday to remember, as most of the party animals eagerly waited for Vini to take over the console. But before the Israeli started playing, DJs Girish and Vikrant kept the crowd grooving to some rocking numbers. And when DJ Vini finally hit the console, he was welcomed with thunderous applause. And he didn’t disappoint, churning out some great psytrance music. The DJ, who was touring India, said, “I was was looking forward to play in Kolkata. The crowd tonight was amazing!”
We also spotted Tollywood actor Bonny Sengupta having a blast with his friends at the do. “I had come here to celebrate a friends’ birthday. As soon as I got to know DJ Vini is playing, we just couldn’t wait. I’ve always wanted to listen the DJ duo’s music,” said Bonny.

It seemed as if all the city’s PYTs had dropped in at Maya in their best party outfits on Saturday evening. After all, it was a ladies night. DJs Shayantanand Koushik were at the console and their playlist for the night comprised

hits like Tamma tamma, Badtameez dil, Main tera boyfriend and Laila main Laila, apart from timeless rock hits and other dance numbers.

The special cocktails on the house for the ladies were huge hit. Maitri(above), a reveller, who was enjoying with her buddies, Anirban and Akash, said, “Saturday night is my favourite time of the week as I get to party with my friends. Apart from the great food and beverages, the ambience at Maya is simply awesome.”

Fridays are always the best time to let your hair down after a hectic week, and exactly that was the theme of a party hosted by Pour House at Salt Lake, Sector V — After Work Friday. DJ Sundeep (right) was at the console and he spun some great EDM, big room trance and Bollywood tracks for the revellers.



The party animals showed some cool moves on the dance floor, and the fruit-based cocktails and kebabs were big hits with the crowd. Himani, a PYT who was chilling with her girl gang, said, “I was looking forward to attending the party tonight. And the best part is that I don’t have to wake up early tomorrow for work.”

10 DOWNING STREET

It was a retro Bollywood night on Friday at 10 Downing Street and DJ Akash (above) was all set to make the revellers groove to his rocking mixes. He churned out numbers like Kehdu tumhe, Hawa hawai, Dilbar mere, Chand mera dil, Bin tere sanam and It’s the time to disco,apart from some English retro tracks like La bamba, I want to break free and Gimme hope Joanna.

“It was lovely playing for such a super-fun crowd. And as an artiste, you feel very happy to get such a wonderful crowd and you just don’t want to stop the music, ever,” said Akash.
