NEW DELHI: West Bengal reported 71 new cases of coronavirus infection, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Sunday.
Since Saturday, new cases have been reported, but no deaths from the disease occurred during this time.
With 53 recoveries recorded, the total number of active cases in the state has come down to 693.
"The situation in West Bengal is under control. These cases are having mild symptoms," a state health department official said.
