Once there, Lakshmi sent for him through a peon.
Reportedly, Amit said he would meet Lakshmi along with other senior teachers of the college once their classes got over. Lakshmi then called Amit on his cellphone and asked him why he had not come to his office. Lakshmi asked Amit why he was feeling insecure in meeting him alone.
Amit said that the time had passed for a one-on-one meeting. The teacher asked Lakshmi to either meet him in the presence of other teachers.
According to Amit, Lakshmi met him outside the common room and again asked him why he was feeling insecure to meet him alone. Amit said an argument ensued between the two, at the end of which Lakshmi threatened him, saying he would see how long he could continue on the job. “Lakshmi also threatened to bar my entry into Ghatal,” Amit said.
Denying the allegations, Lakshmi said, “All I told him was that if he was feeling insecure to meet me in my office alone when no other teacher or student was feeling insecure on campus, then how could he continue to work here.”
