TMC, BJP spar over NIA order

Kolkata: The Calcutta High Court order for an NIA probe into the Ram Navami violence split Trinamool and BJP.
According to TMC state general secretary and spokesperson Kunal Ghosh, “since the central agencies always guard BJP, the goons from Munger in Bihar coming to Bengal will be relieved”.

NIA’s entrance is never witnessed in the BJP-governed states, just as CBI does not arrest Suvendu Adhikari despite his being named in the FIR for Narada sting operations,” Ghosh said.
BJP Bengal president Sukanta Majumdar welcomed the HC judgment. In a Twitter post, he said: “Welcome the Calcutta HC decision to transfer the violence incidents that happened on Ram Navami in WB to NIA.” State leader of opposition Suvendu Adhikari also hailed the high court order and said the direction for an NIA probe would instil confidence in the people of Bengal.
