Kolkata: The Times Litfest, which has become an annual affair in Delhi for some years now, is debuting in Kolkata this year on Sunday, November 25. The venue is the grand colonial setting of the Tollygunge Club.
It will be a daylong affair that starts at 11am with the felicitation of two of the country’s most loved authors, Ruskin Bond and Mani Shankar Mukherjee (lovingly called Shankar by his reader fans).
They will be felicitated at the start of the fest.
While Bond will be given his award by Shankar, the latter will be given his by painter Jogen Chowdhury. There will be separate English and Bengali sessions and a series of workshops at the gala fest that will see some top international and national authors speak about genres and writing.
Entry to the fest is free but you must come and register early by 10.30am.
