Kolkata: Student drowns in Behala pond

KOLKATA: A class XI student of Behala College reportedly drowned in a local pond at Parnasree’s Aurobinda Pally on Sunday morning.

The student, Souvik Pramanik (17), a resident of New Alipore, had gone to swim in the pond with his friends around 9am after a football match. The student was rescued and rushed to the Vidyasagar Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
