STF probes deep into forgery links

KOLKATA: A day after the arrest of Biswajit Nandi from the Park Circus area, Kolkata Police STF believes he was a master forger who arranged everything fake for the coal mafia group that was being led by alleged don Raju Jha and former BJP Raniganj mandal president Manish Joshi. The arrest of another person -Arindam Ghosh Dastidar -from Bhowanipore with fake PAN cards and driving licences are leading cops to probe if Nandi had any links with Dastidar.
The questioning of Nandi has revealed that he was an expert in arranging fake gun licenses and other documents like PAN and voter cards. At a time when the cops are trying to identify the real identity of Manish, who allegedly contest assembly elections under the name of Manish sharma, this fresh revelation might be of prime importance.
