Stabbed youth still critical, doctor says
KOLKATA: The 24-year-old
Victim Pritam Das, who was initially rushed to Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital, was shifted to a nursing home in Topsia. Police said the two suspects - Sayon Roy (21) and Laboni Sarkar (22) - had been taken into custody for ascertaining the motive and making some important revelations. The motive of the crime was not clear.
While Das, a resident of Tollygunge's Rajendra Prasad Colony, and Roy are third-year students at Institute of Mass Communication Film and Television Studio on Prince Anwar Shah Road, Laboni is a second year student of the same institute.
According to police, the would do freelance work together. "Of late, the relationship between Das and the duo had become sour. The duo had also allegedly threatened and harassed Pritam's girlfriend," an officer said.
