St Xavier’s meet on nationalism

Kolkata: St Xavier’s College held a one-day seminar on nationalism in colonial Bengal, sponsored by the Institute of Social and Cultural Studies and the ministry of culture, with the political science department. A panel discussion and an extempore contest were part of commemoration of Bengal as Krantiteertha. Principal Fr Dominic Savio, Mahatma Gandhi Central Univ ex-VC Sanjeev K Sharma and CU professor Raj Sekhar Basu were present. tnn
