Shyam Metalics eyes ₹40,000 cr revenue

Kolkata: City-based Shyam Metalics and Energy Ltd, one of the country’s leading integrated metal manufacturing companies, has projected a revenue of Rs 40,000 crore by 2029-30. B Bhusan Agarwal, company chairman and MD, said over 55% of this revenue would come from its units in Bengal. With Shyam Metalics projecting exponential growth over the next five years, there would be an additional employment of over 5,000 people in Bengal.Agarwal said the company anticipated substantial growth due to its strategy of expanding up the value chain, broadening its product line and introducing backward integration to improve efficiency. Shyam Metalics’s entry into the aluminium and stainless steel segments also marked a milestone, he added. The company has witnessed a revenue rising at a CAGR of 24.7% over the last five years, from Rs 4,376 crore in FY20 to Rs 13,195 crore in FY24.

Cial's revenue touches Rs 1,000 crore

Cochin International Airport Limited (Cial) has achieved over Rs 1,000 crore in revenue for the first time in the 2023-24 fiscal year, with total income reaching Rs 1,014.21 crorea growth of 31.6% from last year. The company plans to expand its international terminal and construct a commercial zone as part of its future development projects.

IPO-bound Swiggy's losses over Rs 2,000 crore in FY24; revenue up 36% y-o-y

Swiggy has significantly reduced its losses by 44% in FY24, reporting a net loss of Rs 2,350 crore compared to Rs 4,179 crore in FY23. Revenue grew by 36% to Rs 11,247 crore. The company credits this improvement to the maturing of its quick commerce business Instamart and enhanced margins across segments.
