School kids laud ISRO project experience

Kolkata: Participating in an ISRO project, which will culminate in launching a nano-satellite — PriyamvadaSat — in the lower orbit of the Earth, was once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that will go a long way in boosting interest in space technology, students of South Point said on the sidelines of the school’s platinum jubilee celebrations on Tuesday
“I was a part of the group that went to Bangalore and it was a life-changing experience. I got this opportunity just because of my school,” said Shashank Shekhar Pandey, a Class XII student.
“There have been a lot of classes and lectures on this separately for better understanding. It was very helpful,” added Samadrita Bag, another Class XII student.
On Tuesday, the school hosted a prize distribution ceremony on the birth anniversary of MP Birla, founder of the MP Birla Group. K Golapalakrishnan, secretary general of Indian Technology Congress Association (ITCA) and Padma RM Vasagam were part of the celebrations on Tuesday.
