Salt Lake guest house manager arrested for running porn racket

KOLKATA: A manager of a guest house in Salt Lake was arrested by Bidhannagar police for allegedly running a pornography racket from his establishment.
Narayan Das, the manager at the guest house at Salt Lake AL block was arrested on Friday based on a complaint lodged by a young woman who had claimed Das and other had forced her to participate in a pornography video promising it wouldn’t be shown in India.However, recently she found the video all over porn sites in Bangladesh and India uploaded from a Bangladesh based platform and thus lodged a complaint with Bidhannagar East police station.
Probing into the case, cops have charged the manager with IPC sections dealing with voyeurism, cheating, forgery, molestation and compelling a woman to be naked.
“The man was arrested on the basis of the complaint and we are now checking the CCTV footage of the premises and are questioning the man to find out about his accomplices and how they used to run the porn racket. The man is currently under police custody,” said an officer.
