'We won't get justice easily, police tried to cover up evidence': RG Kar victim’s parents
A day before the Supreme Court hearing, the parents and family members of the victim pleaded all to stand by them till they get justice.
They had attended a doctor’s rally at R G Kar last week.
The parents and kin were present at the protest gathering organised by the joint platform of doctors, West Bengal, which held a rally from NRS to Esplanade on Sunday. Her mother said that they were gathering strength after seeing so many people standing with them at this hour of need.
“My daughter wanted to become a doctor. Everyday, it cripples me from inside when I think how she had suffered in her last hours. From the very beginning, cops didn’t co-operate with us. We could have seen a glimpse of hope if they had co-operated a little. Police tried to cover it up and evidence, too, has been tampered with,” she said.
Her father could not control his tears. “I have seen her grow in front of my eyes. We could not even imagine that such a day was waiting for us. We do not want justice, we demand justice. We want your support till it is delivered,” said the victim’s aunt.

They called for the arrest of all culprits involved. Numerous rallies and human chains were organized across the city to amplify their demands.
