Hostel's renovation, withdrew the
strike on Thursday after the university authorities granted permission to shift some of their belongings in the hotel rooms on Friday.
"The authorities met the representatives of the protesting students and the PWD officials on Thursday. It was decided that students will be allowed to shift their belongings into two rooms inside the hostel." said Ayan Chakraborti, a post graduate student at Presidency.
The government had directed the authorities and the PWD to complete renovation of one portion by November 15 so that the boarders can move in. tnn
