patient
, who
attacked
three
nurses
at All Asia Medical Institute (AAMI), was nabbed on Sunday.
Subir Saha (27) has been remanded in police custody till October 28. The motive of the attack is yet to be established.
Subir, who was admitted at AAMI for dengue treatment, attacked three nurses in on Thursday morning with a saline stand.He fled the nursing home after the incident. Police had been on his trail since then. On Sunday , Subir was booked from a nursing home near the airport where he was admitted for treatment after feeling from the nursing home at Gariahat. During interrogation he told police he was infu riated as none of the nurses gave him drinking water despite him asking them repeatedly. He allegedly attacked them in a fit of rage.
Cops however are not convinced with Saha's explanation. They will thoroughly interrogate Saha in the next few days and ascertain what led him to hit the nurses. Meanwhile, the condition of the nurse, Victoria Thokchom, continues to be critical at Institute of Neurosciences
