KOLKATA: Two days after the murder of Tollywood actor
Indrajit Chakraborty at his Regent Colony flat in south Kolkata, city police detectives are yet to ascertain the motive behind the murder.
The autopsy report revealed that the injuries were antemortem in nature and was caused due to smothering. The two mobile phones of Chakraborty which had gone missing were last tracked to north Kolkata on Monday night.
Police suspect someone close to Indrajit murdered him. The signs and circumstantial evidence indicate that there was a last-ditch effort by the victim to put up a resistance against the attack on his life. But he must have allowed the person to get inside his room, said police.
