No alliance with INDIA partners: Indian Secular Front
KOLKATA: Indian Secular Front will not forge any alliance with the INDIA partners in West Bengal in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.
ISF leader Naushad Siddiqui on Sunday said, “We will not enter into any alliance with the parties in alliance with the INDIA. State leaders of the Left Front and Congress will have to decide their future course of action. We will decide on the seats in which our candidates will contest. If they refrain from pitching their candidates in those seats, we will also cooperate with them in other constituencies.”
Siddiqui said that both the TMC and BJP are into an understanding with each other and both will face a defeat in West Bengal during the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. “The binary of TMC and BJP will not work in the state any more. If there is a free and fair election in the state, neither Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee nor Abhishek Banerjee will secure a win. Corruption in the state has continued to increase and people in Bengal have already united against the ruling party.”
Siddique on Sunday said that although the Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari has given a call for “no vote to Trinamool”, he is not ready to join him in that. “We have, in the same breath, given a call not to vote for either the TMC or the BJP,” said Siddique.
