New kid on the band block

KOLKATA: Tales and Tunes City Tour will be introducing singer Ayan Mukherjee and friends to the City of Joy on Thursday. In a unique journey, the band will travel across the most happening live gig destinations of Kolkata spreading the message of good music and melody.
The other destinations where the singer will be performing include Delices, Backstage. Mocha and others.
Vocalist Ayan Mukherjee has been trained in Indian Classical Music under the tutelage of Guru Subhra Ghosh and Guru Antara Chowdhury of Allahabad Gharana. After having performed in venues across the world including Garden State Puja Committee in New Jersey, Prabasi of New England in Watertown, Boston and Quency, Ayan is back in his hometown to create ripples with his music.
In early 2015, Ayan released his debut album Tales and Tunes in association with Black and White records and has been distributed worldwide by Inreco. The songs have been composed and arranged by Rajkumar Sengupta. The album features six songs comprising of both Hindi Pop and Modern Bengali songs and covers varied genres from semi-classical to pop to soft romantic numbers.
