Burdwan: A 15-year-old boy, whose father is a key political leader in

, was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly killing his classmate.
The arrest came after the body of victim Suhrid Das, a Class X student, was found floating in a pond near his house in the morning.

Rishikesh Das lodged a complaint with Kalna police station stating that his son was abducted by his friend who, he alleged, poured acid on his face before killing him over a cell phone SIM card.
They dumped his body in a pond. The body bearing injury marks was sent for autopsy to

hospital. "I have lodged an FIR naming three, including the main accused who is my son's classmate," said Rishikesh.

on Thursday. The investigation into the murder is at a preliminary stage." The accused being the son of an political leader, the murder has created ripples in the town. The father of the arrested boy claimed that his boy was innocent and has been framed.
