KOLKATA: Kolkata Metro Railway has set up an isolation ward at Tapan Sinha Memorial Hospital for treating Covid-19 patients.
In its preparedness to fight Covid-19 pandemic, Metro Railway has opened an isolation ward at Tapan Sinha Memorial Hospital to monitor suspected coronavirus infected patients. Dedicated doctors and para-medical staff have been deployed. Metro staff and Central government employees having valid identity cards can avail treatment in this hospital.
The isolation ward has hepa filters and laminar air flow facilities. Ventilators, ECG machines, suction machines, pulse oxymeters, oxygen cylinders are also kept in readiness in case of any emergency use.
Sufficient amount of personal protective equipment (PPE) kits have been procured for doctors and para-medical staff attending to the Covid-19 patients in this hospital. Proper disposal systems of these PPE kits have also been put in place.
For the safety of the frontline staff, separate cubicle at the reception desk of Tapan Sinha Memorial Hospital has also been created.
