Medical Council gives clean chit to AMRI doctors on alleged medical negligence

The girl's parents who received a copy of the verdict on Friday said they will knock the doors of the court to challenge the WBMC judgement.
The girl was brought to AMRI Mukundapur on January 15 last year with complaints of fever and bronchitis. She was admitted in the hospital as advised by Dr Jayati Sengupta, the consultant paediatrician. The child died in the morning of January 17.

"We were not called once during the hearing by WBMC. We will approach a higher body for proper investiation into our complaint," said Shampa Dey, the girl's mother.
