Malda SP dies after stroke

MALDA: District superintendent of police Dilip Kr Mondal died on Wednesday after a massive cerebral attack. He was 55.
Mondal suffered the attack around 10 am while preparing for office. After being taken to Malda Nursing Home, he was diagnosed with partial brain haemorrhage. Preparations were being made to fly him to Kolkata for a surgery, but his condition worsened and he had to be put on ventilators.But all efforts went in vain and he passed away around 4 pm.
Officials like district magistrate C R Das, SDO Arunima Dey and DIG (Malda range) Binoy Chakraborty were present at the hospital throughout. Leaders of all political parties and several businessmen rushed to the nursing home to pay their last respects.
