Major IPS reshuffle in Bengal

KOLKATA: The Bengal government reshuffled 52 IPS officers on Monday, including several of Kolkata Police. Syed Waquar Raza is now joint CP(O) of Kolkata Police while Sudheer Kumar Neelakantam is joint CP, SB (Security). V Solomon Nesakumar will be joint CP of Kolkata Police’s STF.
Swati Bhangalia was posted as DC, South West (Behala), while Priyabrata Roy is DC of ESD and Bidisha Kalita is DC, EB, in Kolkata Police.Abhishek Gupta has been posted as DC of combat battalion.
Meeraj Khalid was posted as DIG of CID (Operations); Kankar Prasad Barui will be DIG (Telecom) and Arindam Dutta Chowdhury will be DIG of EB. Anoop Jaiswal has been named DIG of Raigunj while Amitava Barma has been posted as DIG (Traffic).
Shyam Singh, who was Bankura SP, is now DIG of Midnapore while Nilanjan Biswas has been posted as DIG (Border), IB. Biswajit Ghosh is new SP of Jhargram and Dhritiman Sarkar the SP of Bankura. Pushpa is the new SRP of Kharagpur. tnn
Abhishek Modi is now DC of Asansol-Durgapur police commissionerate. Vidit Raj Bhundesh is DC (North) of Barrackpore Police. Rahul Goswami and Pradeep Kumar Yadav have been posted as SS of CID.
