Lawyer alleges assault by bikers in Kolkata

KOLKATA: A lawyer, Gautam Ghosh, has lodged a complaint with police, alleging that a group of bikers had assaulted him at his Sarat Chatterjee Avenue chamber on Friday, after he protested against "illegal parking" of a car bearing an MP sticker.

South Kolkata TMC MP Mala Roy, however, claimed that it was the lawyer who had threatened her driver last Wednesday, having forcefully snatched the car keys from him. She claimed she has no knowledge of what transpired on Friday. A plaint has been lodged against the lawyer, she said.
