Kolkata's cultural life back to normal again

) is playing a key role in hosting cultural shows. ICCR regional director Gautam De said that ICCR is taking a lead role to normalize the cultural life of the city.

Bengal government has stipulated norms so that the cultural shows can be back again, but the audience needs to maintain distance.

Recently, ICCR had hosted a number of cultural shows at the ICCR auditorium. It hosted a show by Dr Utsab Das, a pathologist, who participated in Pancha Kabir Gaan. Das is a young promising singer and is an AIR artiste and performed well in the show. Similarly, ICCR hosted another show where the dance skills of Arnab Bandyopadhyay and his

team Darpani

thrilled the audience. Arnab is trained in Bharatnatyam and Odissi, showcased his programme -- An Odissi Journey.

Choreographer Avirup Sengupta

displayed his talent as his team Prayas performed recently

at the ICCR auditorium and the young dancers danced at ease under the guidance of Avirup.

Rajib Bhattacharya

who is well known as an Odissi exponent hosted his Odissi show --Hey Mor Devata at Gyan Manch recently based on Tagore's Gitanjali and Vedas. Bhattacharya who is a well-known Guru of Odissi dance form and is a disciple of Guru Kelucharan Mahapatra mesmerized the audience during his show. He is teaching Odissi for the past three decades and recently received Guru Kelucharan Yuva Prativa Samman from the CM of Odissa.

Even ICCR hosted a Sitar recital by Sujoy Basu who was accompanied by Amit Chatterjee in Tabla and Debjoy Basu in Tanpura. ICCR also hosted a play – Macbeth Badya directed by Manish Mitra.
