Kolkata school alumni adopt Nepal village

A group of South Point School and Patha Bhavan Alumni have decided to get together to organize their support for the Nepal Earthquake disaster by adopting and rebuilding a completely destroyed village "Bhaktapur", situated in the east corner of the Kathmandu, 13Km from the capital city.

KOLKATA: A group of South Point School and Patha Bhavan Alumni have decided to get together to organize their support for the Nepal Earthquake disaster by adopting and rebuilding a completely destroyed village "Bhaktapur", situated in the east corner of the Kathmandu, 13km from the capital city.
'My Club', a virtual club by the of the city Filmmaker Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, tabla maestro Pt Tanmoy Bose, singer Indranil Sen, critical care specialist Sabyasachi Sen, radio personality Jimmy Tangree, civil engineer Somnath Pyne, Rajarshi Dastidar and others to organize a fundraising concert on June 28, 2015 from 6.30pm onwards at Nazrul Mancha.

Dr L Subramaniam, Kavita Krishnamurti, Pandit Ajoy Chakraorty, Ustad Rashid Khan, Akriti Kakkar, Tanmoy Bose and others will be present.
The amount collected in form of donations from the concert will be utilized in two phases: First phase will involve immediate relief in the form of medicines, baby food, water purification tablets, tarpaulin etc. The second phase will involve reconstruction of a village out of many that have been completely destroyed in the earthquake.
