“Approximately 600 packs of water bottles, 30 bags of rice, 10 bags of suji, 15 bags of milk powder and many other things have been sent along with clothes,” said

Satwant Singh

, president of

Sri Guru Singh Sabha

. “We started the collection drive from August 23 and till now have managed to put together around Rs 6 lakh in all.”

“Along with the relief material, 15 people are also travelling to Kerala. They will be staying there for about 10 days. Apart from this, the

Khalsa

Aid has also sent a few people who will be living in Kerala for three years, till the lives of the affected people get back to normal,” said Ajit Singh, president of Youth Khalsa Club.

“This will help affected people of Kerala to live properly for some time. This is indeed a great initiative. The amount we collected was beyond all our expectations,” said Ajit Singh.
