Kolkata Rape and Murder Case Live Updates: Junior doctors continued their protest outside the police headquarters in Kolkata's Lalbazar area, demanding the resignation of police chief Vineet Goyal over alleged inaction against the mob violence at RG Kar Hospital on August 14. Before the Supreme Court hears the rape-murder case on September 5, the victim’s family will join the protesting doctors at RG Kar Medical College & Hospital on Wednesday. Trinamool and BJP joined hands to ensure the unanimous passage of the Aparajita Bill in the state assembly on Tuesday.
