Kolkata: Dengue kills 19-year-old

KOLKATA: A 19-year-old Bhatpara resident died of dengue in NRS hospital on Sunday.

The victim, Abir Saha, lived in Bhatpara’s ward 10. On November 19, he was admitted to Bhatpara state general hospital with high fever and was diagonised with dengue.

On Friday, Saha was shifted to NRS Hospital as his condition deteriorated. On Sunday, he died.

According to sources, 15 others are also being treated for dengue in the same municipal ward where Abir lived. Bhatpara ward 10 councillor, Satyen Ray, said, “We are taking adequate steps to prevent dengue.”
