Jhalda murder: HC directs listing of CBI probe plea

Kolkata: Calcutta High Court on Monday directed listing of the CBI probe plea by the widow of former Congress councillor of Jhalda Municipality in Purulia, Tapan Kandu, who was killed by miscreants a fortnight ago.
Purnima Kandu’s lawyer mentioned the plea in the court of Justice Rajasekhar Mantha and pleaded for an urgent hearing. In her plea, Purnima complained that there was no progress in the state investigation.
Justice Mantha may hear the petition on Tuesday.
